Q: Where is the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre

A: The Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre is located at 85 Barrack Street, Merredin, Western Australia. We are a not-for-profit, fully accredited Visitor Centre that is the point of contact for visitors to the Eastern Wheatbelt Region.

Q: Where can we fill up with fresh drinking water?
A: A potable water resource is located on the east side of the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre. Call into the centre for the tap top.

Q: Is there a RV dump point in Merredin?
A: There is a free dump point at Merredin Tourist Park which visitors are permitted to use free of charge.

Q: Is there RV free camping in the Eastern Wheatbelt?
A: Yes there are number of RV friendly towns throughout the region that offer either free or low fee camping. A number of granite outcrops in the region are great places to camp. Visit the RV Friendly towns & granite outcrops pages of this website to check out the best spots.

Q: Is there dog friendly accommodation available in the Eastern Wheatbelt?
A: Yes, please contact the Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre for more information on (08) 9041 1666 or 1300 736 283 (WA only)

Q: When is wildflower season?
A: Wildflower season runs during July – October. Keep an eye on our wildflower page for current wildflower guide of whats out and about.

Q: Can I get hard copies of your Eastern Wheatbelt brochure to plan my trip?
A: Yes, send us an email to: visitor@merredin.wa.gov.au with your postal address and brochures required and we can get them posted to you.
