Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably qualified and experienced persons to join the Shire of Merredin’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee for an initial period from appointment until the next Ordinary Council Elections in October 2027, in the roles of:
- Independent Chairperson; and
- Independent Deputy Chairperson
The role of the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee is to provide guidance and advice to the Local Government, in relation to:
- Risk management and internal controls.
- External and internal audits.
- Status of audit recommendations.
- Financial management.
- Governance, including compliance with laws, regulations, standards, and best practice guidelines.
