Ballidu
Ballidu Lodge Art Gallery
79 Fairbanks St Ballidu 6606. This 1954 building, formerly the Masonic Lodge Hall, is in the Modern Classical style. The gallery was established in 1933. It shows three or four art exhibitions each year and runs an artist-in-residence facility.
Bruce Rock
Bruce Rock Museum
Step into Bruce Rock’s past. Find exhibits about district life style in the old bank building. Wander through the grounds to a blacksmith’s shop, an authentic one-teacher school and a replica mud brick cottage with pre 1940’s furnishings. Use information from the museum to explore old school sights in the shire.
Corrigin
Corrigin Pioneer Museum
The collection of tools restored farm machinery includes tractors in working order. See the blacksmith’s shop, the old one room school, the shearing shed and a collection of district photographs, clothing and other memorabilia. A wall at the entrance commemorates early settlers.
Cunderdin
Cunderdin Municipal Museum
The museum building, formerly the No3 Pump Station on the Golden Pipeline, features the town icon – the brick chimney. The collection includes the Worthington engine that powered the No7 Pump Station, a crop-dusting plane, a railway dining car, a tractor and truck display and the re-sited Qualegeting one-teacher school.
Dowerin
Dowerin District Museum
View how settlers lived in a house with furnishings from 1915 to the 1930’s and artefacts from the district. A saddlery shop front contains early business memorabilia and pioneer history.
Goomalling
Goomalling Museum
Relive past schooldays in the old Konnogorring school, relocated to Goomalling and completely set up as a one teacher school, plus many facets of agriculture and country living. See the beautiful stone buildings of historic Slater Homestead (c1856), recently restored ,or take a heritage trail walk.
Hyden
The Lace Place
Located in the Wildflower Shoppe and Tourist Information Centre at Wave Rock, the Lace Place collection dates back to the 1600's. It features hand-made and machined lace, antique gowns and a wedding dress collection, including an off-cutt from the 1981 wedding veil of the Princess of Wales. Open Daily 9am to 5pm Admission fee applies.
Pioneer Town
This Exhibition includes a general store, chemist shop, bedroom and bar room with an extensive collection of furniture, household objects, farm machinery, domestic and commercial equipment and clothing. Wreckage from a 1944 bomber crash in Narembeen is also displayed. Open Daily 8.30am to 5.30pm Admission fee applies.
Kellerberrin
International Art Space Kellerberrin Australia (IASKA)
IASKA runs a program of visual arts exhibitions, residencies and site-specific projects in Kellerberrin and other locations within the Western Australian Wheatbelt. Australian and overseas professional contemporary artists are invited to live and work in the Wheatbelt, developing original artworks based on their experience of the place and people.
Pioneer Museum
A Folk Museum featuring local memorabilia Is located in the old Agricultural Hall (built 1897). Farming implements and machinery displayed around Pioneer Park provide an interesting backdrop for the local Folk Museum Any person wishing to visit the Folk Museum may obtain a key from the Shire Office or Dryandra Hostel (next door to Park and Museum).
Koorda
Koorda and Districts Museum
Originally the Koorda Hospital, the museum houses a large array of medical instruments and hospital equipment, including some locally used and hand-made medical instruments belonging to Dr Chester. Early settler personal effects and equipment, photographs and machinery are also on display.
Kulin
Butler’s Garage (Kulin Museum)
This collection of local heritage farm tractors, motor vehicles and stationary engines is largely restored. It complements a local farming history exhibition presently in preparation.
Lake Grace
Lake Grace AIM Hospital Museum
Walk through the old wards, duty room, kitchen and laundry to feel the atmosphere of this 1920’s Australian Inland Mission hospital, the only one in WA. See medical equipment used in the early days. Recordings tell of the rich social history of WA farming community and the experiences of the hospital’s staff and patients.
Merredin
Merredin Railway Museum
Count the 95 levers in the unique signal cabin on steel stilts or examine the 1890’s water tank, steam and diesel locomotives plus WAGR rolling stock in four architecturally intact railway station buildings. An early settler women’s room and doll display feature amongst other exhibitions of social history.

Merredin Military Museum
A fine collection of memorabilia, uniforms, vehicles and equipment relating to most conflicts from World War 1 onwards. Some vehicles are in working order.

Nungarin
Nungarin Heritage Machinery & Army Museum Inc
Tenth Light Horse military armoured vehicles and many items that support an army in the field are displayed in Western Australia’s only remaining WWII Five Base Ordnance Depot. In addition to militaria, dolls and matchbox toys are featured and an outstanding agricultural equipment collection reflects early settlers’ lives.
Mangowine Homestead
Built (c.1876) for Charles and Jane Adams, this pioneer homestead is set in the rich eastern wheatlands. The property consists of the first homestead constructed out of stone and mud brick, a wayside inn, cellar, wells and a family grave.

Yilgarn History Museum
Walk through the 1890’s courthouse and mining registry buildings to absorb the rich history of this gold-mining and farming district. You will see the working model of a gold battery, a camel wagon, the local burial register and a fascinating collection of minerals, machinery, photographs, documents and domestic memorabilia.
Wongan Hills
Wongan Hills and Districts Museum
Take a peek at early settlers’ lives in our old settler’ hut, school room or blacksmith’s shop or find out what was once used in the kitchen, dairy and home. A hospital ward display reflects the building’s original use and photographs, natural history and machinery display convey the district’s story.
Wubin
Wubin Wheatbin Museum
Walk inside Western Australia’s agricultural heritage, where working models and photographs tell the story of wheat handling from bag to bulk transporting in a 1939 heritage classified wheat bin.
Wyalkatchem
Wyalkatchem CBH Agricultural Museum
Wander through a 1936 wheat bin donated by Cooperative Bulk Handling and two custom built sheds housing extensive displays of farm machinery and agricultural objects. Most are local and date from the early 1900’s – a highlight is the fully restored Waterloo Boy Tractor. Railway exhibits include rolling stock, signals and tools.
