The friendly staff at the  Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre  ( formerly the Merredin and Districts Visitor Centre ) welcome you to this web site. This Centre is operated by the Shire of Merredin with the support of the Shires in the North East Regional Organisation of Councils ( NEWROC) , the Wheatbelt East Organisation of Councils (WEROC) and the Shires of Corrigin, Narembeen and Kondinin. 

 It is the major accredited visitor centre for the Central and North Eastern Wheatbelt. There is a staff of one full time manager, Pam Masters, and two permanent part-time tourism officers   Taya Fritsch and Trudy Higgins.  

Opening Hours: Our published hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. During the busy time from August through to October we are open 7 days. Our Manager Pam is often in much earlier than 10am so the Centre is often open from 8am if she is not out of town.
